MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — Marshfield Fire and Rescue was called to a fire at Forte Opening Solutions Friday evening.
Crews responded at about 5:30 after a bearing overheated, causing some of their manufacturing material to catch fire in a silo. Firefighters used an aerial device to douse the flames from above, then accessed the silo to put out hotspots.
Crews managed to contain the flames to the manufacturing materials, and no injuries or significant property damage were reported. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour and 15 minutes.
