WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Rapids Public School District has named two finalists for their Superintendent position, including one internal candidate.
According to the district’s superintendent search website current Luxemburg-Casco Superintendent Jo-Ellen Fairbanks-Schutz and Lincoln High School Principal Ronald Rasmussen will interview for the job later this month.
Rasmussen has also served as Principal at Mauston High School and Associate Principal at Reedsburg Area High School.
Fairbanks-Schultz is no stranger to the Wisconsin Rapids area. She’s previously served as Associate Dean of General Education/Business at Mid-State Technical College. She’s also made stops in Portage, Tomahawk, and Beloit.
According to the district’s timeline, both candidates will have in-person interviews between April 30th and May 2nd. The winning candidate is expected to be announced by May 9th, with an official start date of July 1st.
Current Superintendent Craig Boren is leaving to take the same potion in the St. Croix Falls School District beginning July 1st.
